Founded in 2013 and re-envisioned in 2017, the team of Jason and Todd strive to make the best wines possible with some of the best fruit available in the Walla Walla Valley. They also pick timeless and fun varieties to truly showcase the terroir of both the Walla Walla Valley and the greater Washington region. Let’s take a journey back in time!
Jason Fox graduates from the Walla Walla Community College’s Enology and Viticulture program and starts Lagana Cellars. The first harvest he makes Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, and Syrah.
By the third year, we have added a couple more varieties to the fold: Roussanne, Cabernet Franc, and Carmenere.
Lagana Cellars’ first Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay wines are produced!
Todd Bernave joins Lagana Cellars, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge in red wine production from his previous years at Walla Walla Vintners. Lagana Cellars also produces their first Rosé of Pinot Noir.
Lagana Cellars added Malbec in 2018, arguably Todd’s favorite variety, finalizing our full list of wines produced.
Although COVID dominated 2020, Lagana Cellars continued to grow and expand. We make custom wines for restaurants, started a keg program for by-the-glass sales in bars and restaurants, and continued at full production with all of our tanks full! This was also the only year we have produced a red blend, the 2020 Walla Walla Valley Cuvee!
